New Hyundai i10 set for 2017
Added: 23 December 2016
As 2016 draws to a close and Christmas approaches we’ve already got some exciting news ready for the new year in the form of the facelifted new Hyundai i10 which will feature a makeover to the look and feel of the car as well as brand new infotainment technology for the top specification new i10 models.
Due on sale in January 2017 the new i10 will start from £9,250 for the entry level i10 S which features a 1.0-litre three-cylinder petrol engine offering 65bhp which has been teamed with a manual five speed manual gearbox. On the new refreshed city car the second trim up will be the SE which starts at a £10,500 price tag; featuring a wealth of options including air conditioning, driver assists and cruise control to ensure a comfortable and effortless drive as well as DAB radio and Bluetooth as standard to keep you both entertained and safely connected on the go. The SE has an optional 1.2-litre four-cylinder engine with 87bhp that can be fitted with a four-speed automatic gearbox if preferred.
Of the top of the range Premium line up the lowest starts from £11,200 with the Platinum SE option going from £12,800 depending on which version you’re after and this model will feature a new 7-inch infotainment touchscreen screen! The infotainment system keeps you heavily connected with both Android Auto and Apple CarPlay software built in as well as a built in satellite navigation system to help ensure you don’t get lost on the roads. Upon purchase customers with the system also receive a seven year subscription to real time traffic, speed camera and weather updates free of charge!
On the interior customers will have a new range of new colour options for the upholstery as well as heated steering wheel and front seats and on the outside stylish LED daytime running lights and 14-inch alloy wheels. To the exterior though, perhaps the most obvious change is the ‘cascading grille’ which is due to appear on all newly released models from Hyundai going forwards. Overall it’s much bigger and complements the new front bumper styling as well as the rear bumper, new fog lights and exterior side mouldings.
The new Hyundai i10 is not only a very modern, connected city car but it also maintains a solid focus on safety systems; built with front collision warning and lane departure warning both of which work from a new front-mounted camera and will alert the driver to upcoming danger if sensed. Other than the engine options already mentioned there will be a more efficient BlueDrive version which produces 93g/km CO2.
