Important Business Update

Firstly, we hope you and your families have been able to remain as safe as possible in recent months whilst we have all been adapting to a new way of living and working. Here at Richmond Motor Group we have continued to evolve the measures we have implemented to ensure our teams and customers remain as safe as possible. These measures have helped to ensure we have maintained a safe environment for all concerned and have continued to operate with the high level of customer service you have come to expect from us.

Following the latest announcement from the Government regarding trading, we are having to close our showrooms with effect from Thursday November 5th. Whilst the showrooms may be closed, our website remains firmly open so we have our team on hand to deal with your enquiries, and our online options mean you can still purchase your latest vehicle from the comfort of home using our ‘Click, Buy, Drive’ journey, details of which can be found on our website by visiting www.richmondmotorgroup.com/click-buy-drive

Our Service departments are remaining open to conduct business as usual in line with the guidelines. If you have a booking with us, this will take place as arranged. Should you need to book your vehicle in to one of our workshops, please contact our team and we will be happy to help.

Our teams will be working according to our usual business hours, details of which are on our website, where you can also find further details of the measures we have in place throughout the business and answers to some frequently asked questions.

We will keep you updated with any other measures we put in place should there be any further developments, however in the meantime we hope you and your families stay safe.

At Richmond Motor Group, we are doing everything we can to ensure both your safety and that of our colleagues in this time of uncertainty. We have implemented a range of changes to how we operate to ensure we minimise the risk of infection from COVID-19 at any of our facilities. These changes range from how we physically work on your car to how we will interact with you. We want to reassure you that whether you are visiting us for Sales, Service or Parts you can do so with the upmost confidence.

⦿ All of our customers and colleagues will be wearing face coverings.

⦿ We have Perspex screens on all desks to ensure maximum possible protection.

⦿ All of our showrooms are frequently cleaned throughout the day.

⦿ We operate one-way systems in dealerships across the Group.

⦿ Customer cars will have protection film wrap applied to the high touch-points.

⦿ Thermal Imaging cameras are installed at the entrance of most of our showrooms.

⦿ Hand sanitisers, wipes, gloves and masks will be available where required.

⦿ A pre-arranged appointment is preferred to allow us to fully prepare for your visit.

COVID-19 FAQs

Do I have to wear a mask when visiting Richmond?  

In line with Government guidelines, customers will be required to wear a face covering within all of our showrooms.

Will hand sanitiser be made available?  

We have sourced extensive supplies of hand sanitiser and wipes which we have made available for visitors to use at every one of our dealerships.

Do I need to book an appointment?  

In order to manage the number of visitors in the dealerships at any one time, our preference would be a pre-arranged appointment, to allow us to fully prepare for your visit and arrange for the vehicle of interest to be sanitised prior to your arrival.

However, should you find yourself in the area without a pre-arranged appointment, please feel free to pop into the dealership and we will be more than happy to serve you as quickly and safely as possible.

Am I able to take a vehicle for a test drive?  

Yes, however to comply with Social Distancing, all Test Drives will be unaccompanied and are available by pre-booked appointment only.

Please note that you will be required to bring your driving licence with you.

Do you offer Home Delivery?  

If you do not feel comfortable visiting one of our showrooms then why not take advantage of our innovative Click, Buy, Drive journey where you can purchase your new vehicle from the comfort of your own home, complete all the paperwork remotely through our industry leading "Secure Client Portal" and once the vehicle is ready, take advantage of our Click and Collect service or if you’d prefer, we can deliver it to you. Are my details required for Track & Trace?  

It is now a legal requirement for us to collect visitor details for contact tracing purposes. QR codes will be displayed at the entrance of our dealerships for you to record your visit. Simply open the camera on your phone and hold it over the QR code and this will automatically take you to the necessary page.

Will my vehicle be cleaned after being serviced?  

All customers cars booked in for servicing, warranty, routine maintenance, MOT’s or accident repair will be cleaned and have protection film wrap applied to the steering wheel, handbrake and gear selector by our technicians. Disposable paper mats will be put into the drivers footwell and plastic seat covers placed over any seat that might be used.

On receipt of your car and before it is returned to you, we will run the engine and air conditioning system for a minimum of 3 minutes to ensure the vehicle is fully ventilated.

We are able to offer you alternative ways for you to transact with us whilst still offering you the service and value you have come to expect from Richmond Motor Group.

If you still need or want to change your car, you can purchase your new vehicle from the comfort of your own home, complete all the paperwork remotely through our industry-leading Secure Client Portal and once the vehicle is ready, take advantage of our Click and Collect service or if you’d prefer, we can deliver it to you. We can even arrange a Home Test Drive.
