The Position:

We're currently looking for a?PDI Vehicle Technician?to join our busy Vehicle Preparation Team at our flagship dealership in?Portsmouth. The successful candidate will be responsible be preparing both new and used vehicles to the highest standards before they're handed over to our customers. This is an excellent opportunity to join a knowledgeable team within a modern workshop, where quality and attention to detail are at the heart of everything we do.

For the right candidate, we also offer the?opportunity to gain qualifications and certifications?within: Hybrid, EV, High Voltage, F-Gas, and?manufacturer accreditations?with: Hyundai, Škoda, MG, Suzuki, Geely and Chery. As our PDI Vehicle Technician, you'll be:

  • Carrying out Pre-Delivery Inspections (PDI) on new and used vehicles in line with manufacturer standards and preparing retail and approved used vehicles prior to customer handover.

  • Preparing vehicles to manufacturer and DVSA standards, including MOT preparation, pre-delivery inspections (PDI) and used vehicle inspections.

  • Repairing, replacing and rebuilding mechanical and electrical components, including major assemblies such as engines and gearboxes.

  • Inspecting and repairing engines, braking systems, steering, suspension, transmissions and other vehicle systems.

  • Diagnosing mechanical, electrical and electronic faults using diagnostic equipment and fault-finding techniques.

  • Carrying out system testing, interpreting fault codes and completing Vehicle Health Checks (eVHCs).

  • Carrying out routine servicing and manufacturer-recommended repairs.

Essential Experience, Skills & Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 1 years exposure working within a similar PDI Technician, Prep Technician, Service Technician, or Vehicle Technician role.

  • Experienced in working across a variety of vehicle makes and models.

  • Level 3 Qualified (NVQ / City & Guilds or equivalent)
