The Position:

We are currently looking for a Vehicle Technician to join our busy aftersales team at our dealership in Botley, where you’ll be working alongside a very strong existing team of dedicated and knowledgeable staff in a?modern?and?fully equipped?workshop.

For the right candidate, we also offer the?opportunity to gain qualifications and certifications?within: Hybrid, EV, High Voltage, F-Gas, MOT Tester Licence, and?manufacturer accreditations?with: MG, Škoda, and Geely. As our Vehicle Technician, you'll be:

  • Carrying out routine servicing, scheduled maintenance and manufacturer-recommended repairs.

  • Inspecting, maintaining and repairing engines, braking systems, steering, suspension, transmissions and other vehicle systems. 

  • Repairing, replacing and rebuilding mechanical and electrical components, including major assemblies such as engines and gearboxes. 

  • Diagnosing mechanical, electrical and electronic faults using diagnostic equipment and fault-finding techniques. 

  • Carrying out system testing, interpreting fault codes and completing Vehicle Health Checks (eVHCs). 

  • Preparing vehicles to manufacturer and DVSA standards, including MOT preparation, pre-delivery inspections (PDI) and used vehicle inspections.

Essential Experience, Skills & Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 2 years exposure working within a similar Service Technician, Vehicle Technician, Master Technician, or MOT Tester role.

  • Level 3 Qualified (NVQ / City & Guilds or equivalent)

  • Experienced in diagnostics and fault-finding.
