For drivers who want electric capability without range anxiety, the Starray EM-i combines a 1.5-litre petrol engine with an electric motor. The entry-level Pro model (£29,990) offers 51 miles of electric-only range from its 18.4kWh battery. The Max (£32,690) and Ultra (£34,990) trims feature a larger 29.8kWh battery, extending electric range to 84 miles. Total combined range reaches up to 618 miles. The Starray EM-i has also achieved a five-star Euro NCAP safety rating. It comes with an even longer warranty than the EX5: eight years or 125,000 miles, covering both the vehicle and the battery. For company car drivers, the larger-battery models fall into the 6% Benefit in Kind tax band, making them a cost-effective fleet choice.
