The New, All-Electric Škoda Epiq is coming to the UK in July 2026, priced from £24,950. It marks a genuine moment for anyone who has been waiting for an affordable electric SUV that does not ask you to compromise on space or equipment.

What Is the Škoda Epiq?

The Epiq is Škoda’s most affordable electric vehicle to date and sits in the compact SUV segment alongside rivals like the Renault 4 and Fiat Panda. At 4.1 metres long, the Škoda Epiq dimensions place it firmly in the practical end of the small SUV category. It is compact enough for town driving, but with a 475-litre boot that gives it genuine everyday usability.

The Epiq shares its platform with the Cupra Raval and Volkswagen ID. Cross, which tells you something about the engineering foundations underneath it.

Škoda Epiq UK Release Date

The Škoda Epiq UK release date is July 2026. Richmond Motor Group will have order books open ahead of launch, so if you want to be among the first to get behind the wheel, it is worth registering your interest now.

Škoda Epiq Price: What Does It Cost?

The Škoda Epiq price starts at £24,950 for the entry SE L 40 model. That makes it the first Škoda EV to achieve price parity with its petrol equivalent, the Kamiq. It is a deliberate move from the brand as it pushes electric cars into mainstream affordability.

Full Škoda Epiq UK pricing is as follows:

Model OTR (On-the Road) Price
Epiq SE L 40 £24,950
Epiq SE L 55 £27,700
Epiq Edition 40 £27,700
Epiq Edition 55 £30,450
Epiq First Edition 55 £31,450

Battery, Range and Charging

Two powertrain options are available.

The Epiq 40 uses a 37kWh usable battery paired with a 135PS motor. Škoda Epiq range on this version is up to 190 miles, which is enough for most of the daily use without ever needing to think about charging.

The Epiq 55 steps up to a 52kWh battery and a 211PS motor, pushing maximum range to 272 miles. This is the version to consider if you do longer runs regularly or want a larger buffer between charges.

Rapid charging from 10% to 80% takes under 25 minutes on either version. Bidirectional charging capability is also included as standard, meaning the car can push energy back to your home or the grid. That is a feature normally reserved for much more expensive EVs.

Standard and Optional Equipment

The SE L trim is the entry point, and it is not stripped out. Standard kit includes LED headlights, a 13-inch infotainment touchscreen, rear parking sensors and adaptive cruise control.

Step up to Edition and you add satellite navigation, keyless entry, electric folding mirrors, heated front seats, a reversing camera and wireless phone charging. There is also a limited First Edition model at £31,450 which comes with the 52kWh powertrain as standard.

What Our Škoda Team Says

“We have seen a real shift in the questions coming through our showrooms over the past 18 months. Customers are no longer asking whether they should go electric. They are asking when the right car at the right price will arrive. The Epiq is that car for a lot of households across Hampshire and West Sussex.”

Wayne Sims, Head of Business at Škoda Portsmouth, part of the Richmond Motor Group.

Our Verdict

At under £25,000 for the entry version, with proper rapid charging, a 475-litre boot and a full suite of driver assistance tech, the Epiq is a serious proposition. Buyers are actively researching this car right now and supply at launch is likely to be limited.

If you have been sitting on the fence about going electric, or have been watching prices and waiting for them to reach a level that made sense, the Epiq is worth a serious look.
