The petrol KONA undoubtedly has a strong engine, being able to get from 0-62 MPH in 10.2s- impressive for a compact family SUV. The hybrid model takes slightly longer to get up to speed, but the fully electric KONA blasts ahead achieving 0-62 in only 7.8s, despite weighing-in at over 200kg more than its counterparts.
The KONA electric has an impressive range of up to 319 miles on a full charge, and with fast charging available from Hyundai's charging company of choice, Ohme.
For people not yet ready to take the leap and fully commit to electric, the hybrid KONA offers the best of both worlds; a traditional internal combustion engine as well as a 42kWh battery for reduced engine emissions.
